William Farrer, MD, specialist in infectious diseases at Trinitas Regional Medical Center, has been awarded the Laureate Honor from the New Jersey Chapter of the American College of Physicians (ACP), the national organization of internists. The Laureate Award is one of 20 national awards and a number of Masterships the ACP gives each year.

For 25 years, Dr. Farrer has been the Associate Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Trinitas. Under his direction, medical residents in the program have received prestigious fellowships at nationally-renowned institutions such as Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine; Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center; Emory University School of Medicine, and Wake Forest University.
