A HEALTHY DOSE OF READING
Trinitas fosters love of reading among children it serves
Fourteen month-old Ashley of Elizabeth and hundreds of children served by the Pediatric Health Center of Trinitas Regional Medical Center will receive new books, thanks to the employees and customers of Barnes & Noble, Springfield. During their recent Holiday Book Drive, the bookseller collected 5,400 books which were then donated to a number of community agencies including the Reach Out and Read program at Trinitas Regional Medical Center. Reach Out and Read encourages reading among young children by providing them with a new book each time they visit the Trinitas Pediatric Health Center for care.
