Physical Therapy and Rehab Medicine Services at Trinitas Regional Medical Center

Trinitas Regional Medical Center's Health and Rehabilitation Center is designed to provide the community with a facility that provides a range of therapeutic services. We offer cardiac, pulmonary and diabetic rehabilitation, outpatient physical, occupational therapies. Our skilled staff is available to you whether you are recovering from a medical condition or you want to simply exercise to stay fit in our newly renovated Center. We offer an environment in which you may attain your optimal health, regardless of any limiting medical conditions.

The Center's equipment has been specifically selected to enable everyone, from cardiac patients to athletes, to exercise together safely within the limits of their abilities. This equipment includes individual weight stations, treadmills, stationary bicycles, Stairmasters, elliptical trainers and Olympic-style free weights. A highly trained, multilingual staff of physical, occupational therapists design individual programs to meet the needs and goals of every client.

Diabetic Rehabilitation

Trinitas Regional Medical Center's Health and Rehabilitation Center staff works closely with diabetic patients' physicians to assist with basic exercise needs.

Cardiac Rehabilitation

Your physician will determine when you are ready to participate in the Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. This individually designed, comprehensive therapeutic exercise program also provides you with counseling, educational and nutritional services. The program will help you decrease the risk factors of cardiac disease and restore you to the best possible health. A collaborative team of professionals helps you and your family make the lifestyle changes necessary for a better quality of life. The Phase 2 Cardiac Rehabilitation Program usually lasts for a period of 12 weeks.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation

After your physician determines the need for pulmonary rehabilitation, he/she must write an order for the process to begin, Trinitas Regional Medical Center's rehabilitative staff develops a structured, individualized program to meet the goals within your physical limitations. This may involve exercise, education and counseling.

Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy

Trinitas Regional Medical Center's therapy outpatients receive their care in the Health and Rehabilitation Center. The Center incorporates physical and occupational therapy. Our staff of therapy professionals is licensed by the State of New Jersey. All our services work closely with your physician to insure a level of coordination of your specific program to meet your specific goals.

Occupational Therapy offers activities of daily living training, hand therapy, ergonomic evaluation and adaptive equipment instruction. We provide training to help family members assist you in your daily activities. We are also qualified to design and fabricate specialized splints.
